Our Church Covenant . . .
Having been brought by divine grace to embrace Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, and having been reconciled to God through Christ, we faithfully enter into covenant with one another as one body in Christ.
Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we seek
-to walk together in Christian love,
exercising care and watchfulness over reach other;
-to participate faithfully in the worship services of this church and support its
evangelical witness with our prayers, time, talents, and financial resources
as God has prospered us;
-to be faithful stewards of all that God has entrusted to us,
body, soul, mind and possessions;
-to maintain personal and family worship and nurture our children
and those within our care in the love and service of Jesus Christ;
-and to conduct ourselves in the world with love, justice, and integrity
so that our daily lives will be a good example and bring honor to Jesus Christ.
We believe that the Bible is the written Word of God and our authority
in matters of faith and Christian living,
and we affirm Baptism and the Lord’s Supper as ordinances
designed by Christ to be observed by His disciples.
As members of the body of Jesus Christ we affirm the principles of this covenant
and will strive to live out its tenets. Should we move from this place we will seek
to unite with another church where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant
and the principles of God’s Word. (Adopted July 16, 1996)
