2015 Annual Meeting Summary
Tabernacle Baptist Church
Annual Meeting ~ January 25, 2015
The annual church meeting was held following worship on January 25, 2015 with 14 members and one friend in attendance.
Opening Worship and Call to Order
Pastor Joyce Duerr opened the meeting with worship and an invitation to reflect on what we are doing well as a church.
Receive Reports of Officers and Boards
Moderator Dennis Ryan called for the reports of the officers and boards as presented in the annual report booklet.
Discernment Items
· Following discussion, the Policy on Professional Boundaries & Safe Sanctuaries was tabled for further revision.
· Recommendations of the Nominating Committee were approved as presented.
· There was consensus to form a committee to lead in revision of the 2001 bylaws. The Moderator will appoint a committee of four to include the Moderator, the Pastor, and two members at large to carry out this function.
2015 Theme
The Deacons presented the theme Jesus is the Way for our focus in 2015.
The meeting closed with the singing of the Doxology and lunch prepared by the hospitality committee.
